Planning a renovation or property upgrade in Puslinch?
The Township of Puslinch states that it must approve your plans and issue a building permit before construction or demolition can start on projects covered by the Ontario Building Code Act.
The electrical side is separate. In Ontario, almost all electrical work requires a notification of work with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), and ESA states that an electrical notification is not the same as a building permit. You may need both. Confirm the requirements for your exact project with the Township and with ESA. Our guide to electrical permits and ESA notifications explains the difference.
